About Us

‘Aziran’ is a Canadian-based business which aims to preserve the culture, language and customs of Farsi-speaking countries for immigrants in Canada, America and Europe. For this, we have prepared different cultural packages: such as collections of books in Farsi, categorized based on the intended age of the reader or the topic of the books, traditional costumes and local handcrafted dolls of different ethnicities, high-quality nuts, dried fruit and seeds from home, souvenirs from different cities, etc. Also, for special occasions like Nowruz and Yalda, we’ve got lovely care packages.

If you have loved ones living abroad and you have lots of ideas for sending them gifts, or if you live away from home yourself and there are items you want to buy directly from your country and easily with your home country’s currency, ‘Aziran’ will deliver your package at your doorstep, no matter where you live. So grab your shopping carts and take a look around our website; we’ve designed different packages for the young ones and adults. Pick out what you like and leave the rest to us, the ‘Aziran’ team.

Our story

Our family has an immigrant—my sister. But that’s not where our story begins. At first, every time she’d come to visit or we’d go to see her, we’d try to fill the suitcases with souvenirs and memories, like photo albums, Minakari picture frames, packs of dried herbs for ‘Ghormeh Sabzi’, and a whole bunch of other stuff. In the following years, the joy of sending her gifts continued—for birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and later when she became a mom. All the presents were wrapped with love and care and waited to be shipped to our distant loved ones. Now that her daughter is a student, school books, Farsi storybooks, or different alphabet games have been added to our parcels. In all the years of her immigration, this has been a part of our lives.

One afternoon, which was one early morning for my sister in Canada, she called me and told me about all the ideas that had rushed to her mind the night before. We had a long talk, as usual, but this time a startup was being born in our conversation, one that could help many who share the same story as us.

Our story 2

Yes, I have left my country to live in Canada, but the truth is that I wish I could put my home country in my suitcase and bring it to my new home— too bad it doesn’t fit!

‘Aziran’ is determined to bring little pieces of eastern culture to our homes so that we could feel a bit more at home, even if we are oceans apart.

I wish, I wish,

that on a certain day,

a man could take his motherland with him

like violets in dirt boxes,

wherever he wanted:

in the luminous rain

in pure sunlight.
